The UC in Mexico Semester
Immerse yourself in the biology and culture of tropical Mexico by joining the UC in Mexico semester, lead by Professors Ellen and Robert Dawley, one of several faculty-led Study Abroad programs at Ursinus.
Earn 16 credits in biology, anthropology, and Spanish while traveling throughout the Maya region of southern Mexico. We start in Mérida, capital of Yucatán, where you live for five weeks in individual homestays; then we hit the road for the next five weeks, living in field stations as we explore jungles, coral reefs, and archeological sites; before concluding with a final five weeks in homestays in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, cultural center of Chiapas.
