Assistant Professor BioChemistry (Tenure Track)

Ursinus College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in biochemistry starting fall 2010. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts setting. Teaching responsibilities include biochemistry and other chemistry courses appropriate to the candidate’s expertise, as well as an interdisciplinary freshman seminar. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a research program in biochemistry that also engages undergraduate students and to supervise students’ honors research.

Send letter of application, résumé, undergraduate and graduate transcripts, statements of teaching philosophy and research interests, and three confidential letters of recommendation to Dr. Ronald E. Hess, Chair, Department of Chemistry, Ursinus College, P.O. Box 1000, Collegeville, PA 19426-1000.
