Assistant Professor of Sociology or Assistant Professor of Anthropology (Tenure Track)Ursinus College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sociology or Assistant Professor of Anthropology position in the Department of Anthropology and Sociology to begin fall 2010. We are looking for a person who can teach courses about the African American experience and contribute to our African American and Africana Studies Program. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching at the introductory and advanced level. Applicants should be able to cover and expand upon the current offerings of the sociology or anthropology programs described in our catalog. Ability to teach quantitative methods is a plus. Responsibilities include teaching five courses per year including an interdisciplinary freshman seminar as well as developing an ongoing research program, and supervising student research.
