ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT FOR DEVELOPMENTPrimary FunctionsAccountabilities • In conjunction with reporting directors, develop goals and objectives for growth in the areas of responsibility within the IA department. Manage directors to meet performance goals within specific program areas that include advancement services, annual giving and alumni relations. Achieve fiscal year goals for areas of responsibility and contribute measurably to the overall Institutional Advancement department goals.
• Mentor and manage development staff to increase philanthropy and achieve annual IA fundraising goals. Oversee gift processing and acknowledgment, reporting, and overall database management and support as it relates to the goals of all key areas within the IA department.
• Work with alumni staff to enhance and coordinate outreach as well as fundraising, building a stronger base for alumni support of the College in the coming years.
• Work effectively and collaboratively with staff, faculty, volunteers and Board members to build relationships with alumni, parents, friends and other potential donors. Foster mutual respect from colleagues and faculty to lead ethical fundraising in support of the College’s mission.
• Provide advice and assistance to the Senior Vice President/Vice President for Development, and Senior Leadership team on key matters pertaining to the efforts of Institutional Advancement, primarily within the scope of areas of responsibility.
• Work collaboratively with the Vice President for Development to build a cohesive approach to leadership gift fundraising in support of the overall goals of the IA department.
• Prepare reports as needed for the Senior Vice President, Vice President for Finance and Administration and Business Office, Senior Leadership Team, Institutional Advancement Committee and Campaign Committee. Attend leadership meetings as requested.

• Fundraising and friend raising skills and experience.
Minimum Qualifications Experience: 7-10 years of successful fundraising experience, preferably with knowledge, understanding and experience in the areas of oversight. Demonstrated success managing staff to meet annual department goals.
