Recycling on Campus

Ursinus College has a single stream recycling system on campus.  This means that plastics, paper, glass and metal can all go into the same recycling bins.  JP Mascaro & Sons is our waste hauler on campus, with recycling facilities set up to handle mixed/single stream recycling. We are committed to recycling as much of our waste stream as we can.  In addition to the day-to-day recycling that is used by community members, various departments recycle as well:

Facilities Services Department: Hazardous materials (chemicals, bulbs, paints, etc.),scrap metal, large batteries for our computer systems.

Information Technology:  our computers (both laptop and desktop) are taken back by Dell to be reconditioned and reused.

Copy Center:  Our campus copiers have various types of recyclable ink cartridges, the Color Cube printers have ink that has no packaging at all - so no recycling required.
