Whether you choose to participate in our UC BikeShare Program, or our Ride Board as seen below there are many places you can visit in Collegeville.  The Perkiomen Trail runs right by the Ursinus College campus with access points all across Collegeville, on Main St and even off of 9th Avenue.  The Perkiomen trail is 19 miles and crosses through 10 municipalities, runnning from Green Lane Park to Oaks, at the junction of the Schuylkill River Trail

Ride Board

Our Student Ride Board is run through Zack's List.  It gives students the opportunity to carpool with other Ursinus Community members.   We also offer a Ride Board for Faculty and Staff.

How to use Ride Board

To submit a request, click on the "submit listing" button on the far right of the page.  When posting your ride information, use your location and dates of travel.  Please provide your preferred method of contact in your post (i.e. email or phone).  Select and reply to a post (as directed by postee) that fits your destination and need.

Buses

The SEPTA Norristown Transportation Center (DeKalb and E. Lafayette Streets, Norristown PA 19401) provides busing around the Collegeville/King of Prussia Area. There is a stop right in front of the campus gates! For schedules, visit the website http://www.septa.org/ or call 215-580-7800. 

My Bus Home: My Bus Home arranges motor coach transportation for academic breaks for several colleges.

The bus picks up on campus and stops in central locations in Mt. Kisco, NY, Brookfield & Cromwell, CT & Newton, MA.

Megabus: Provides inexpensive transportation from Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station to a variety of locations including New York City, Boston, Albany, Baltimore, Washington DC and more. Trains

SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylania Transit Authority) is the regional transformational system that provides bus, trolley, high speed lines and regional rails service to the Philadelphia and surrounding areas. There are three SEPTA regional rail stations located in Norristown which will take you into 30th Street Station, Philadelphia which is an Amtrak hub and also a transfer point for other Regional Rail lines. The Norristown train station is just a bus ride away from Ursinus.

Planes

From the Philadelphia International Airport, you can take the SEPTA Regional Rail Airport line to 30th Street Station and transfer to the Manayunk/Norristown line to the Norristown station. Transfer to the SEPTA #93 bus to complete your journey to campus. Car services are also available. (See below)
At the Newark International Airport, there is an Amtrak station which will take you into Philadephia’s 30th Street Station. From 30th Street Station, take the SEPTA Regional Rail Manayunk/Norristown to the Norristown station and then transfer to the SEPTA #93 bus to campus.
