Pre-Professional Programs

According to Gerald Edelman, Nobel prize winner and Ursinus alumnus, "Ursinus has all the excellent qualities of a small college with high academic standards."

Nearly 90 percent of Ursinus graduates who apply to medical and law schools are accepted. Their success shows the best way to prepare for medical, veterinary, dental, law or any other kind of graduate professional training is through a liberal arts curriculum with outstanding strength in the sciences, social sciences and humanities.

The Ursinus Program includes:

  •  A rigorous liberal arts curriculum emphasizing balance and depth
  •  Writing and thinking skills
  •  A capstone project in the student's major.

Ursinus students work directly with their professors in research, summer fellowships, and experiential projects like Moot Court and Model U.N., gaining analytical, laboratory, communications and networking skills prized by top medical and law schools. Some medical schools Ursinus graduates have attended:

  • Harvard
  • Yale
  • Dartmouth
  • Duke
  • Johns Hopkins
  • Tufts

Some law schools Ursinus graduates have attended:
