Domenick Scudera, M.F.A.
Professor of Theater
Domenickhas been at Ursinus since 1997. Prof. Scudera received his B.A. with honors in English and in Fine Arts from Colgate University and his M.F.A. in Directing from Pennsylvania State University. In addition to teaching acting, directing and theater history, he has been an active professional theater artist since 1987. In the greater Philadelphia region, he regularly directs plays for many theaters such as the Philadelphia Shakespeare Theater and the Delaware Theater Company. He is a member and Resident Director of the Waitstaff Sketch Comedy Troupe. He has served in the administrations of several area theaters as well, including many years as Casting Director for the Wilma Theater. He is also a playwright whose work has been performed thousands of times by Historic Philadelphia Incorporated. As a performer, he has premiered his original work at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival and performed nationally at various venues.

Beverly Redman, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Theater / Chair of the Theater and Dance Department
Dr. Redman received her Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego having completed her dissertation on the history of the San Francisco Mime Troupe. She also holds an M.F.A. in directing from UC Irvine and an M.A. in Composition and Rhetoric from Georgetown University. Bev has taught at Charles County Community College, Georgetown University, University of California, Irvine, Loyola Marymount, Los Angeles, and the University of Texas at El Paso. At Ursinus, she teaches voice and speech, theater history and literature, and she also directs for the department. Professor Redman has been with Ursinus College since 2006.

Jacob rothermel, m.f.a.
Production Manager and Technical Director/Adjunct Faculty for Theater and Dance Department
Jacob Rothermel came to Ursinus College after receiving his MFA in Production Technology & Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama. Prior, he worked as Technical Director for the Act II Playhouse & the Bristol Riverside Theatre, both in the greater Philadelphia, PA area. He has also served as a production manager, production & assistant stage manager, as both scenic & stage carpenter, and entertainment rigger & electrician at theatre companies and in all types of performance spaces in and around Philadelphia, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. since receiving his BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD. He has also done technical engineering & drafting work with commercial production companies in New York & Washington, D.C. 30-hr OSHA-certified in General Industry, Jacob teaches Theatre Stagecraft here at Ursinus as well as supervises student technicians in all manner of production work in the Kaleidoscope Center for Performing Arts.
