SCIENCE at Ursinus

As a science major at Ursinus you will have the opportunity to study deep core samples from below the Arctic’s ocean floor, research biodiversity in the tropical rainforests, or use the premier atom smasher in our nation’s heartland. Through collaborations with larger universities, Ursinus science majors are granted extraordinary exposure to state of the art technology and facilities in biology, neuroscience and chemistry.

The close mentorships and intensive fellowships offered at Ursinus are part of the fabric of the College. We develop scientists who are independent, self-possessed and go on to be exceptional contributors to their fields. A liberal arts education contributes to producing successful PhD candidates, and we are doing that with such great success at Ursinus. Our science research today is future-focused, integrating technology at speeds unimagined only a decade ago.
