Tenure-Track - Mathematics

The Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Ursinus College invites applications to fill up to two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Mathematics to begin fall 2015. Applicants are invited from all areas of mathematics.  Teaching responsibilities will include 5 courses per year, including both introductory and higher-level mathematics courses for undergraduates, and the Common Intellectual Experience, a liberal arts seminar for all first-year students.  The successful candidate will also be expected to regularly teach introductory and intermediate courses in computer science and/or statistics, and this aspect of the position should be specifically addressed in the cover letter.  All faculty at Ursinus College are expected to establish a research program, as well as show a commitment to fostering undergraduate research.  A Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely-related field is required.
