Breakthrough Collaborative
In 25 cities across the nation and abroad, Breakthrough Collaborative launches motivated middle-school students on the path to college and prepares older students for careers in education. A national nonprofit, Breakthrough Collaborative is devoted to preparing high-achieving middle-school students, most of whom are of color and from low-income families, to enter and succeed in college-preparatory high school programs.

City Year
At City Year’s 24 locations across the United States, teams of diverse young people called corps members serve full-time in schools for 10 months working to improve student attendance, behavior and course performance in English and math.

Higher Achievement
Higher Achievement closes the opportunity gap during the pivotal middle school years. By leveraging the power of communities, Higher Achievement’s proven model provides a rigorous year-round learning environment, caring role models, and a culture of high expectations, resulting in college-bound scholars with the character, confidence, and skills to succeed

Japan Exchange and Teaching Program
Participants are assigned to be either Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) who provide language instruction in elementary, junior and senior high schools; Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs) who work in communities on international exchange activities; or Sports Exchange Advisors (SEAs) who promote international exchange through sports.

Jumpstart is the only national supplemental program that leverages the power of community and adult-child relationships to build the key language and literacy skills children need to take on the world.

The MATCH Corps is a one-year Urban Education fellowship program in Boston. Fellows are assigned 6-7 MATCH students at the beginning of the year, with whom they work in small group or 1-on-1 tutorials over the course each day, doing close academic support and building relationships. They receive housing and a modest living stipend.

Urban Teacher Center
A program that prepares master teachers to work in urban schools. UTC is preparing and placing teachers for grades nine – 12 in math, English and science with dual certification in special education

WorldTeach provides opportunities for volunteers to teach in developing countries, making a meaningful contribution to schools and communities that are in great need of teachers. Most volunteers teach English, and students range in age depending on the placement. In some countries, volunteers may also teach math, science, computer skills, or HIV/AIDS awareness.
