Sustainability-Related Student Groups on Campus:

EcoReps

The Office of Sustainability's EcoReps program is a student initiative that pairs student EcoRep volunteers with our OS Sustainability Fellows to work on campus sustainability projects and programs.  Our EcoRep volunteers work to involve students across campus in events.   Click here to learn more >>>

Sustainability Fellows

The Office of Sustainability's (OS) UCGreen Sustainability Fellows program is a leadership and professional development program supervised by OS staff.  This program provides students with the opportunity to develop or run sustainability initiatives on and off campus within a professional setting.    Click here to learn more >>>

UC Environmental Action (UCEA)

Ursinus College Environmental Action (UCEA) is a student organization that helps to organize environmental initiatives across campus, while also volunteering time off campus as well.  In addition to other events, UCEA organizes Earth Day. Click here to learn more >>>
Earth Day Activities 2

She will be overseeing the design and implementation of the College's climate action plan under the Presidents' Climate Commitment, signed by President Strassburger in 2007 as a way to establish goals for reducing the greenhouse gas emissions associated with College operations. Shannon holds two master’s degrees: in Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and in Environmental Studies from Yale University. She has substantial experience in planning and environmental project management. Her work at Ursinus will include integrating sustainability principles throughout the College’s programs.
