New Member Education
New Member Education is the time in which members of the Greek community oversee the positive development of new chapter members. This experience should be a positive influence on the new member’s overall experience at Ursinus College. Programs foster leadership, scholarship, service, civic engagement and friendship within the fraternity and sorority as well as within the Greek community.
New Member Education (NME) must adhere to all state and local laws and Ursinus College policies. All NME activities must be approved by the Leadership Development and Student Activities Office. NME activities must conform to the Pennsylvania Anti-Hazing Statute. Each member and potential new member will be required to sign a document indiciating that he/she understands the anti-hazing statute.
