Student Assistant

Student Assistant needed in Dean’s Office who is interested in academic year, and possible summer employment, during their academic career. Freshmen are encouraged to apply.

The student is required to work up to 10 hours per week during the school year and possibly provide vacation and flexible coverage during the summer. This position offers an opportunity to better understand the inner workings of the College.

Duties will include standard office procedures such as word processing, assembling spreadsheets, filing, photocopying, faxing and aiding the Dean’s office support staff in a variety of functions including event coordination.

A working knowledge of Internet usage as well as Windows XP, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook is desirable. Prior office experience is a plus.

STUDENT associate

 

Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the Dean in the Office of Academic Affairs, the
Student Associate is instrumental in assisting and spearheading projects overseen by the Dean of the College and Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Responsibilities include:

•Communicating with faculty and students to complete projects listed below
•Coordinating and assembling the Dean’s Report
•Coordinating and collecting displays for Faculty and Student Publication Celebration
•Composing faculty introductions for events such as 25 year club, Baden lectures, etc.
•Assisting with file creation and maintenance on Sharepoint
•Collecting and assembling applications for Faculty Development review
•Processing Purchase Orders for student trips to Philadelphia
•Processing faculty travel paperwork for reimbursement
•Overseeing and training student assistant to coordinate efforts with assigned tasks.
•Other duties include standard office procedures such as word processing, assembling spreadsheets, filing, photocopying, faxing and aiding the Dean’s office support staff in a variety of functions including event coordination.

Qualifications:
•Excellent organization and communication skills (written and verbal)
•Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Outlook)
•Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
