CAMPUS CREW


•Various physical labor duties, moving furniture, trash removal, event set up. Possible grounds maintenance, including snow removal.
•Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
•Must purchase/wear closed toe leather work boots (steel toe not necessary).
•Number of hours per week - up to 20
•Minimum time commitment is 2 hours per day.

Hours available for Fall Semester 2013
TIME SLOTS STILL AVAILABLE (please review before applying, if your schedule does not coincide with these slots we are not considering any other time slots for Fall '13).

Monday - 10-12:30 (2 slots)
Wednesday - 10-12:30 (2 slots)
Wednesday - 1:15-4:30 (2 slots)
Thursday - 10-12:30 (1 slot)
Friday - 10-12:30 (2 slots)

 

Carpenter's Assistant

  • Carpenter's assistant, minor repairs, maintanance, inventory materials and clean up job sites. Potentially other Facilities related assignments, including snow removal.
  • Must have work boots (steel toe not required).
  • Up to 20 hours per week available per assistant.
  • Minimum time commitment is 3 hours per day.

Work hours M/F 8am-4:30pm (lunch 12:30pm-1:15pm).

No Saturday or Sunday hours available.

Copy Center Assistant

Event Technician

Department: Facility Services

Supervisor: Jon Brighton

Work Location: College Event Spaces

EXPECTATIONS

  • Help create and maintain a flexible schedule, some evening and weekend hours will be required.
  • Notify supervisor if not able to work scheduled hours.
  • Have the ability to think creatively and problem solve in any situation.
  • Be on time and perform duties responsibly and professionally.
  • Be friendly and courteous to all users of the facility.
  • Provide a high level technical support for events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  •  A basic understanding of technical event processes.
  • Ability to show initiative and competence when operating specialist equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take unsupervised initiative and follow directions.

DUTIES

  • Provide technical support for events in the college.
  • Operate lighting, sound, video and staging equipment in a safe and competent way.
  • Coordinate with the planning and implementation of events.
  • Be on hand to train and instruct any other users of the event equipment.
  • Assist with the scheduled maintenance of technical equipment.
  • Coordinate audience and artists during events.

Summer Office Assistant

  • Perform clerical duties and other tasks as assigned.
  • Filing, shredding, organizing files.
  • Copy, collate and staple using copy machine.
  • Data entry and /or word processing duties
  • Process mail.
  • Run errands to other departments as needed.
  • Possess customer service/interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as under supervision.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Scanning various documents

Number of hours per week - Approx. 15-20

Environmental Health and Safety Assistant 

-The EH&S Assistant will assist the EH&S Coordinator with various tasks including the monthly testing of the emergency showers/eywashes and monthly inspections of fire extinguishers located throughout campus.
-Testing the showers includes running the safety shower and eye washes in the chemistry, biology, art, theater, and Facilities Departments to ensure contiuous flow, disposing of collected water, wiping up spilled water, and documenting each shower and eye wash that was tested.
-Fire extinguisher inspections require checking each extinguisher for clear access, charged, and pin in place using an iPad.
-4-5 hours per week
