Technology Office Assistant

Department: Instructional Technology
Supervisor: Jean Bennett
Work Location: Myrin Library room 302
Hours: 3-5 hours/week

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
  • Knowledge of web design a plus
  • Quickly pick-up new technology
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, take initiative, follow directions & work independently

DUTIES

  • Assist with general office tasks, some web work
  • Assist faculty, staff, and students with the equipment in the Multimedia Resource Room (you will be trained how to use the multimedia equipment)
  • Assist with minor updates of Ursinus College website
  • Photo editing for the web
  • Assist with web 2.0 tools to incorporate on the Ursinus College website

EXPECTATIONS

  • Notify supervisor if not able to complete a project that week.
  • Complete training in Blackbaud NetCommunity
  • Perform duties responsibly and professionally
  • Exhibit respect and professionalism
  • Communicate any challenges in a timely manner

Web Content Student Associate

Department: Instructional Technology

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
  • Knowledge of web design, familiar with basic HTML a plus
  • Knowledgeable about social networking and web 2.0
  • Quickly pick-up new technology
  • Ability to work independently while paying close attention to detail, taking initiative, and following directions

DUTIES

  • Assist with maintenance and routine updates of Ursinus College website
  • Create parts and pages for Ursinus website
  • Photo editing for the web
  • Assist with production on videos and slideshows to post online
  • Assist with web 2.0 tools to incorporate on the Ursinus College website
