Office Assistant

Assisting Media & Communication Studies and Art/Art-History’ faculty and secretary. General clerical tasks, good organizational skills, ability to work with a variety of faculty and staff, proficient in Word and Excel. Web design skills a plus. Delivery and pick-up items for departments as needed. Number of hours per week: Variable – 6 hrs/wk. MCS and Art/Art History majors and work-study students are preferred.

Research Assistant

Successful candidate will work with Dr. Edwards on the ChatCoder project.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Transcript coding
  • Codebook development and testing
  • Data Collection and Management
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • - Media and Communication Studies major preferred
  • Content analysis experience preferred, but not required
  • Must have taken MCS200W or have equivalent research and writing experience
  • GPA >= 3.0
  • Major GPA >= 3.0 Prefer sophomore or junior
  • Good team-work skills
  • Available to work during daytime hours
  • Good communication skills
  • Responsible and reliable
