EVENTS ASSISTANT, PRESIDENT’S OFFICE

The President’s Office is looking for a student to assist with special events for the upcoming academic year. Four to twelve hours per semester. Will require occasional evenings (one to two hours per event). Reports to the President’s Executive Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet visitors and assist with name tags at the President’s house for special receptions and dinners including the 25-Year Club Reception for faculty and staff in October, Senior Dinners in January/February, and Board of Trustees dinners
  • Assist with Board of Trustees mailings and meeting materials

THIS POSITION REQUIRES:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Courtesy and professionalism to greet and interact with a wide range of guests
  • Dependability and promptness
  • Overall general knowledge of Ursinus
  • Occasional evening hours 

ASSOCIATE, PRESIDENT’S OFFICE 

The President’s Office is looking for a rising Junior or rising Senior to assist with special events and general office work for the 2013-14 academic year.  Two to five hours per week.  Will also require occasional evenings (one to two hours per event).   Reports to the President’s Executive Assistant. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with managing invitations and RSVPs for special events, including the 25-Year Club Reception for faculty and staff in October, Senior Dinners in January/February, and Commencement
  • Assist with Board of Trustees mailings and meeting materials
  • Create name tags for events
  • Greet visitors and assist with name tags at the President’s house for special receptions and dinners
  • Schedule other student greeters for events at the President’s house
  • Deliver correspondence and run errands to and from other departments on campus
  • Special projects and office work as assigned.  Office work could entail filing, scanning, shredding, recycling, answering the phone
