The Queer House is named as such to be an inclusive space which accepts individuals of all sexualities and gender identities/expressions. “Queer” is defined as "different from the norm," and this house serves as a campus resource for those who identify with the queer sentiment or have an interest in the queer community.
Located at Schaff Hall on Main Street, the Queer House is a part of the Specical Interest Housing offered at Ursinus College. Students apply during the Spring Semester for admittance. Applicants to the Queer House should be active supporters of LGBTQIA initiatives and programs, show willingness to create an environment that functions as a safe space for members of the queer community, and demonstrate an interest in education and outreach activities for the campus.
