Peer Advocates offer one-on-one support for complainants seeking guidance through policies, procedures, and resources on and off campus.  Peer Advocates guide complainants through each step of the college’s procedures.

Irish is a senior who became involved with the Peer Advocates to have a positive impact on the members of the Ursinus Community by raising awareness and educating about sexual violence, as well as supporting victims. She is the current president of Big Brothers Big Sisters on campus and is the Title IX Education Associate. Irish would love to hear all suggestions for what Peer Advocates can do to ensure safety on campus.

Rose is a senior History major and Campus Safety Dispatcher on campus.  She is involved in Peer Advocates because she believes sexual assault is a very serious part of society both on and off campus.  She wants to be a part of eradicating it in the future and helping those who have dealt with it in the past.

Heather is captain of the UC Women’s Tennis team as well as PC for the Community Service house on campus. She is active on campus and hopes to go to graduate school for clinical psychology after graduation.
What I am doing after graduation: Hopefully I will be going to graduate school for clinical psychology!

Emily is a Junior and came to Ursinus after working for a year once she graduated high school in 2010. She is passionate about her role as a Peer Advocate, to offer support and guidance to those who seek it, and thinks it is incredibly important to educate the community and raise awareness in order to prevent sexual assault.
