Bio: Grant is from Pennsylvania, and is an avid backpacker, rock climber, mountain biker, and all-around outdoor enthusiast.  For the past 6 years, Grant has spent his summers working at Bashore Scout Reservation in Jonestown, PA, where he developed and ran an older boy program that teaches young men to handle challenges, problem solve, and work as a team, all while enjoying the great outdoors.  Grant hopes to attend medical school after graduation.

DAVE ROWE

Bio: Dave is from Hamilton, Massachusetts and is a member of the Ursinus Tennis Team. In his free time he enjoys golfing, skiing, and mountain biking. Dave can frequently be found making no one laugh with his puns, but if you're lucky you might hear a good one someday. Following graduation he hopes to attend Physician's Assistant School and specialize in Emergency Medicine.

Bio: Aside from UC EMS, Daniele is an Ursinus cheerleader and an active member of Phi Alpha Psi. Her interests include live music and running.

 

STEVE MEDEIROS

Bio: Steve is a junior from Rhode Island, and began riding on UC EMS during his freshman year. Aside from UC EMS, Steve works at Tech Support and is a Spanish tutor. He also co-hosts a radio show on campus, and is currently the President of Phi Kappa Sigma at Ursinus. His interests include music, foreign languages, and martial arts. He hopes to attend medical school after graduation and become a neurologist.

 

SAMIR SHAH

Bio:  From New Jersey, Samir is very involved on campus, holding positions in numerous organizations. At home, Samir has also been a member of his local volunteer ambulance corps since he was 16. To relax, Samir loves to practice archery and snowboard.

 

WILLIAM HAUSSNER

Bio: William is from New Jersey, and is hoping to attend medical school after Ursinus. On campus he is a member of Sigma Pi fraternity and is also a tutor in the Center for Writing and Speaking. He is an avid skier and also enjoys running to stay in shape. This past summer he was been the supervisor of a day camp, and also rides on his home EMS squad.

 

EVAN LORD

Bio: 
Evan has been running EMS for two years at Ursinus College. He is currently a senior following a Philosophy major with two minors in both French and Biology.  In addition to his studies, he is a captain of the Ursinus men’s tennis team and works also as a professional tennis instructor.   His hobbies include playing and listening to music and watching films.

Bio: Dominique is from Horsham, Pennsylvania and began riding on UC EMS during her freshman year. On campus Dominique serves as an International Student Ambassador and participates in string ensemble, string quartet, Triathlon Club, Brownback Anders Pre-Medical Society, and research. She enjoys traveling to foreign countries, biking, and music. Dominique hopes to attend medical school after graduation.

 

brian kennedy

Bio: Brian grew up in Cliffside Park, NJ, just across the river from New York City.  At home he hangs out with friends, plays video games, and reads. He is also active as an Assistant Scoutmaster in the scout troop he used to be a member of, and an EMT for the Ridgefield Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps.  On campus, he is waaay too busy with being a CIE Fellow, the Secretary of the Ursinus Student Government Association, a representative on the Student Activities and Services Committee (SASC), the Treasurer of the Campus Activities Board (CAB), and a Dispatcher for Campus Safety.  He would like to someday work for the US Department of State or Foreign Service, or for an international organization working in establishing emergency response frameworks in developing nations.

 

Jonathan livezey

Minor: Biostatistics
Position: Trainee
Year: 2017

Bio: Jonathan is from Ambler, Pennsylvania and aside from participating in EMS, biology research and Relay for Life, he enjoys boating, fishing and frequenting the beach in Ocean City, New Jerse. He’s a huge country music fan and has interests in medicine, politics, journalism and law. He hopes to attend medical school after his time at Ursinus and hopefully become a surgeon.

 

Ray Stitt

Ray started working at Ursinus College in 1998 for Campus Safety. In 1999 he started to teach First AID, CPR & AED to the Ursinus Community while working on Campus Safety. In 2000 Ray transferred to Information Technology as a Tech Support Technician full time, and is still a part-time officer with Campus Safety at present. He started working with UC EMS in 1999 as an advisor, and by having First Responder classes & EMT classes in 2004 & 2006. In 2013, Ray became an instructor trainer for the American Heart Association to UC EMS to allow them to teach the First Aid, CPR & AED to the Ursinus Community.
