Jeffrey Erkkila

  • Position: Co-president
  • Year: 2015
  • Major: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
  • About: Jeff is the president of the Brownback Anders Pre-Health Society and studies biochemistry on campus. He also works at Tech Support and enjoys playing soccer in his free time. After graduation Jeff hopes to pursue a career as a doctor.
   

Samir Shah

  • Major: Neuroscience
  • About: From NJ, Samir is very involved on campus, holding positions in numerous organizations. In addition, Samir is a Fellow of the Center for Science and the Common Good. Outside of school, Samir loves to practice archery and snowboard.
   

Zeba Hussaini

  • About: In Zeba’s spare time, she enjoys writing, reading, and working out. She is a big foodie and loves trying and making new foods. On campus, she is an UC Ambassador, a fellow for the Center for Science and the Common Good, the president of the Whitian Honor Society, and works in the library.
   

Caroline Gambone

  • Year: 2016
  • Major: Biology
  • About: Caroline enjoys dancing in Escape Velocity, biking on the Perkiomen Trail with her friends and travelling. She is also a Fellow of the Center for Science and the Common Good and conducts research in a Chemistry lab. After she graduates, she wishes to go to dental school and become an oral surgeon. 
   

Michael Gasbarro

  • Major: Biology and Spanish
  • Minor: Chemistry
  • About: Outside of school Michael is a student member of the Explorers Club, an international organization dedicated to exploration and research. He has a boat captain’s license and loves spending his summers and free time scuba diving off the coast of New Jersey and traveling with people exploring the oceans. He also volunteers at the Hamilton Twp. Rescue squad and as a diver at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. At school, he co-hosts the radio show "What Comes To Mind." This fall, he will be studying abroad in Madrid hoping to gain fluency in Spanish, which he hopes will benefit him in any health care profession that he chooses to pursue.
   

Rachel M. Philip

  • About: Currently Rachel is a volunteer at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and is an active fundraiser for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
   

Alexa Snively-Bologna

  • About: Alexa is a member of the Scholars in Service AmeriCorps Program and participates in Intramural Sports on campus throughout the school year.
   

Daniel DeHelian

  • Position: IT Officer
  • Year: 2015
  • Major: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
  • About: Dan DeHelian is a volunteer and Webmaster for the community service organization Wismer on Wheels, works at the Technical Support center as a student Technician, and is a member of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. In his spare time, he enjoys singing, playing guitar and writing/composing music. After medical school, Dan hopes to become a hematologist/ oncologist.
