Campus Committee Open Positions

Represent your fellow staff by volunteering to be a member of the Ursinus Diversity Committee or the Committee on Technology and Computing. Information about each committee is summarized below. Please contact Carol McMillin at cmcmillin@ursinus.edu or extension 3221 if interested in serving.  

Ursinus Diversity Committee (UDC)

The UDC is the principal focus of the campus community for diversity-related institutional planning, activity, advocacy, and accountability. It advises the President of the College on the achievement of both long-term and short-term diversity goals. Goals include the creation, maintenance and evaluation of: curricular and co-curricular programs; recruitment, hiring and retention of faculty and staff; admissions and student recruitment; faculty and staff training; response to community concerns; coordination and publicity of events.

Membership

  • The President
  • The Dean of the College (or appointed representative)
  • The Dean of Students (or appointed representative)
  • 3 elected faculty members, one from each division; elections to be run by the Governance Committee
  • 3 elected staff members; elections to be run by the Staff Assembly (term limits to be determined)
  • 3 appointed student members; students to be selected by the USGA

Committee on Technology and Computing

The committee advises the Chief Information Officer (CIO) on matters related to institutional technology planning, instructional technology, information technology capacity planning and institutional participation in the Measuring Information Service Outcomes (MISO) survey. The committee will also provide its recommendations on the annual IT budget request.

Membership

  • The Chief Information Officer of the College
  • 2 staff positions to be filled by election of a staff assembly or by nomination of an appropriate VP or Director (term limits to be determined)
  • 3 elected faculty, one from each division
  • 1 student representative to be appointed by the USGA
