In the job hunt, the single most important tool is a carefully thought-out, attractively designed, well-written RESUME. The resume is an indispensable part of your job campaign because it often creates the first impression an employer has of you. Therefore, you must devote time and energy to make your resume a positive reflection of you.

A resume is your written sales presentation; an advertisement of you. A well written resume will prompt an employer to invite you for an interview. There is no single right or wrong way to write a resume. It is a highly individualized document that reflects your personal strengths and skills. There are, however, underlying principles that will make your resume more appealing to employers. The links at the top of this page will provide you with guidelines for writing your resume.

It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you draft a strong copy and bring it in to the Career and Professional Development office for feedback.
