What does it mean to innovate? Innovation starts with initiative, identifying a problem and creating a solution. It’s a spark that ignites within a person. Yet, sometimes even an innovator needs someone else to help pave the way for that idea to grow and evolve, opening the door for new possibilities. That person is Frank Hennessey ’88.

Frank serves as a member of the U-Imagine Center’s advisory board. A founding partner of a wealth management and employee benefits firm, he has a breadth of knowledge to share with Ursinus’s students and encourages them to pursue passions that make a difference in our world. His heartfelt altruism is one of the things students admire most about him, and his support allows them to put entrepreneurial ideas into practice.

In addition to his work for the U-Imagine Center, Frank also sponsors the Joanne and Frank S. Hennessey ’88 Annual Fund Scholarship. A current member of the advancement office’s major gifts committee, Frank has also been a guest speaker on campus for Saturday morning football recruitment visits, a volunteer for last year’s #Giving2UCday campaign, and an active participant on several class reunion committees.

In a year when our alumni could not physically be present on campus, Frank stepped up to give back to Ursinus in a big way.

Frank is a Bear through and through—one who has so much to give and who never holds back.
