In addition, Dr. Scott works to improve public health and animal well-being and to sustain healthy ecosystems by using risk analysis and epidemiologic studies to minimize the impacts of infectious hazards. Dr. Scott works closely with the livestock industry and serves as an advisor for the World Health Organization. He is currently a professor in the school of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University.
