Myrin Library Highlights Digital Collections

Library display features Digital College Archives and Digital Special Collections.

A new display in the lobby of the Myrin Library showcases a selection of items and publications from the College Archives and Special Collections that have been digitized.

These materials are in the College’s digital repository, Digital Commons @ Ursinus.

Digital College Archives and Digital Special Collections now total over 1000 items for viewing and downloading.

These include Dr. Calvin D. Yost’s history of the first century of Ursinus College, 150 digital issues of Pennsylvania Folklife Magazine, 175 digital issues of The Lantern,120 digital volumes of the Ursinus yearbook, The Ruby, digital postcards dating back to 1905, as well as many other items from the College Archives and Special Collections.

The digital repository also provides a virtual tour of the Library’s Student Art Collection with over 100 digital images of the artworks in the collection that have been downloaded over 1,400 times to date.

In total, 140 countries have a combined total of over 25,000 downloads.
