2018 Active Minds Emerging Scholar

Active Minds wants to congratulate an Ursinus Senior, Bryanna Jones, who was selected as a 2018 Active Minds Emerging Scholar. Bryanna’s research is on the impact of special interest housing on the well-being of young students of color and has served to raise important questions about identity and community on small liberal arts campus. She is the youngest 2018 Active Minds Emerging Scholars Fellow and is contributing to the program’s goals of completing independent mental health projects and expanding the conversation on behavioral health, particularly in younger communities.

The Emerging Scholars Fellowship, which is open to both undergraduate and graduate students, is a program of Active Minds and is supported by the Scattergood Foundation for Behavioral Health and the Steve Fund. The program is dedicated to supporting behavioral health research by college-aged scholars. The Fellowship provides an opportunity for students to complete funded, independent mental health projects and to be connected with a network of young scholars and national experts in the field of behavioral health.
