Watershed 1010: Fish of the Darby Creek
The Darby Creek is a large creek in southeastern Pennsylvania that runs through 31 municipalities in Montgomery, Chester and much of Delaware County. The Darby Creek watershed is south and west of the Schuylkill River watershed and courses through the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum near the Philadelphia International Airport before the creek enters the Delaware River.
Dr. Goddard explained that the variety of habitats in the Darby Creek watershed accommodate a variety of fish communities. She talked about some of the more interesting “fish tales” of the watershed. Go to this link to hear the presentation.
