Dr. Catherine van de Ruit of the Health and Exercise Physiology Department recently published in the Global Agenda for Social Justice 2, a publication issued by the members of the Society for the Study of Social Problems (SSSP). SSSP is a Society of scholars who conduct and use cutting-edge research to fight for a better, fairer world.
Dr. van de Ruit’s submission, “The problem of insecure community health workers in the Global South”, written in conjunction with Amy Zhou, presents research evidence on the issue of the profound deficit of medical professionals in the Global South and provides recommendations and solutions to be considered moving forward.
