No, each class will have their own commencement ceremony.

The ceremonies will take place on Patterson Field. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremonies will be moved indoors into the Floy Lewis Bakes Center Field House.

Our commencement website and the Guidebook app are consistently updated, so we recommend that you check either of those resources for the most up to date information.

Guidebook is a platform that allows us to have a mobile app for commencement. To access the Ursinus commencement guide, download the Guidebook app in either the App Store or Google Play Store. Once downloaded, open the Guidebook app and search for “Ursinus College Commencement”.

Yes, if inclement weather is predicted, a call will be made no later than Wednesday, May 12, 2021 as to whether or not the ceremony will be move indoors into the Floy Lewis Bakes Center Field House.

Should the rain plan be enacted, the Class of 2021 will have three ceremonies on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm.

Each graduate is able to invite (2) guests to campus for commencement.

Current guidelines are restricting outdoor gatherings to 20% capacity. Each graduate is limited to inviting (2) guests to campus for commencement in order to keep the total attendance at the event within the allowed 20% capacity of Patterson Field.

Yes, all guests must be registered for contact tracing purposes. Graduates must register their guests by March 29, 2021.

Changes to registered guests will be accepted until April 29, 2021. After this point, no changes will be accepted. Once the final two guests have been determined, please email the first and last name, email and phone number for both guests and the name of the graduate to commencement@ursinus.edu

No. There will be no on-campus locations to view the commencement ceremony. We will be dedicating all campus resources to ensure registered guests attending the outdoor ceremony are socially distanced and complying with the Commonwealth’s guidelines for outdoor gatherings.

The live stream of the commencement ceremony will be able to be viewed at https://www.ursinus.edu/about/commencement/

Any non-registered guests will be asked to leave campus. 

The ceremony will take place outdoors on Patterson Field, which is a turf surface. We recommend attire that will be suitable for warm weather. We also advise against footwear with pointed or narrow heels as they can get stuck in the turf and make it difficult to walk safely.

Yes, masks will be required to be worn at all times while on campus

No. Official diplomas will be mailed to each graduate’s home by the first week of July.

Regalia can be shipped home, to your MSC box or directly to the bookstore. (601 E Main Street, Collegeville, PA 19426 - ATTN BOOKSTORE)

If you just need a hood, you can stop by the bookstore to purchase one. Supplies will be limited, so take care of this as soon as possible.

Be sure to steam and hang your gown before Commencement. It will be very wrinkly when just out of the box.

Cords are individually coordinated and distributed by each organization or department. If you have any questions surrounding cords, please reach out to the organization or department directly.

Graduates can purchase their regalia, graduation announcement, diplomas frame, etc., here.

Graduates should plan to be on campus and in their robing location no later than 45 minutes before the start of the ceremony. 

Graduates will robe and line up for the procession to Patterson Field in the Floy Lewis Bakes Memorial Field House. Should the rain plan be implemented, graduates will robe in Helferrich Gymnasium

Yes. Both the Class of 2020 and the Class of 2021 ceremonies will be live streamed and accessible via the commencement website.

Yes. Masks will be required to be worn at all times while on campus.

No, guests are to remain seated and physically distanced for the entirety of the ceremony. We have hired professional photographers to take photos of each graduate. Information on how to obtain these photos will be sent to graduates and families closer to the ceremony. This information will also be available on the commencement website and Guidebook closer to the ceremony date.

Yes. Quality Video Services of DE, Inc., will be recording the ceremony and it will be available for purchase.

Yes. Each guest will be provided a ticket with an individual barcode. Tickets will be scanned upon entry and can be physically printed or pulled up on an electronic device.

Parking for the ceremonies will be available in the 9^th Avenue Lot on the west side of campus, accessed via 9^th avenue. Additionally, parking will be available in the Wismer Center lot and Facilities lot on the east side of campus, accessed via 5^th avenue.

Yes. Parking passes will be distributed to registered guests to be displayed while on campus.
