Researched and Curated by Julin Everett and Cari Freno

This exhibition of portraits explores how subjugation as spectacle can be challenged by the power of authentic self-representation. Scene/Unseen asks the viewer to consider the invisible aspects of identity and what it means to become visible on one’s own terms.

This series of portraits, obtained from various international archives, will be placed around the Ursinus College campus for Scene/Unseen, a public art exhibition running August 25 through December 16.
