Mission: Pennsylvania Prison society advocates for humane prisons and a rational approach to criminal justice.

Mission: The PA Municipal Internship Program (PA MIP) provides an opportunity for college/graduate level student interns from across Pennsylvania to actively engage in handling municipal operations, projects and decision-making, thereby preparing them for a career in municipal government.
How to get involved: The available internships cover a wide range of majors and are open to students across Pennsylvania. College/graduate level students can view current internship opportunities municipalities have posted or submit an interest form with what area of focus and location they are looking for. The Mayor’s Internship Program (MIP) is a 10-week paid summer internship from June to August. Each year, 50 college students are selected by the Human Resources and Talent Unit (HR&T). Then, they are assigned to one of over 40 City agencies. Additional information can be found on their website.
