Presentations and Publications

Ursinus offers its students the invaluable experience of public presentation through numerous opportunities to travel to student and professional conferences.

In the last few years a large percentage of psychology majors have shared their work at meetings, including the Association for Psychological Science, the Society for Neuroscience, the Eastern Psychological Association, the Society for Research in Child Development, and the Cognitive Development Society. More recent conferences include: American Psychological Association, Philadelphia Area Psi Chi Research Day, Chicago’s Minority Health Conference, American Psychosomatic Society, and The Steve Fund’s “Young, Gifted, and @Risk” Symposium.

In addition, many students publish their research with their professors. In recent years, students have co-authored articles in

  • ARC Journal of Pediatrics
  • Empathy Rules: Depression, Schadenfreude, & Freudenfreude Research on Depression Risk Factors and Treatment. New York: Nova Science Publishers

  • Perceptual and Motor Skills
  • Journal of Psychology and Behavioral Science
  • Perception
  • The Journal of Psychology and the Behavioral Sciences
  • American International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences
