Drawing on court transcripts and public records, Emily Mann’s docudrama investigates the assassination of San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk, the first openly-gay elected public official in the United States, and the 1979 trial of accused killer and former City Supervisor Dan White. “A dynamite play about the meaning of justice and politics in America.” –San Francisco Chronicle


Audition Instructions:

  1. Sign up for a monologue audition time slot on the 2nd floor of the Kaleidoscope and take an audition packet. The sign-up sheet is taped to the column at the administrative assistant’s desk by the offices. All students are welcome to audition for both men’s and women’s roles; there are many men’s roles and the director anticipates casting actors who do not identify as men in these roles if they are interested.
  2. Please fill out the audition information form and the schedule form and bring them with you to the audition.
  3. Please prepare either a 1-minute published contemporary monologue from a play or any monologue from Execution of Justice or a monologue included in this packet. Memorization is not required for the audition, but you should be familiar with your chosen monologue.
