Steve Ciabattoni ’08
Lida Kent Gifford ’90
A Connecticut native, Lida spent two decades in the Philadelphia region, beginning with her years at Ursinus. While an English major at Ursinus, she participated in various campus activities, including Meistersingers and College Choir, Alpha Sigma Nu, and The Lantern. After earning a PhD in chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania, she relocated to California and currently works at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory writing and editing a science website. In her free time, she sings in various choirs and plays the ukulele.
Brian Toleno, Ph.D. ’92
Brian J. Toleno, Ph.D., currently works for Microsoft. After attaining his B.S. in Chemistry from Ursinus College, Brian obtained a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Penn State University. Brian is very active in electronics industry associations like IPC and the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) and was elected to the SMTA Board of Directors in 2010. While at Ursinus, Brian chaired several committees for the Campus Activities Board, volunteered as an Orientation Assistant and was a Chemistry TA (General, Organic and Physical). Brian lives in Cupertino, CA with his wife and two daughters.
