Dewees Tavern Museum Grand Re-Opening

From its founding in 1869 to the present day, Ursinus College has had deep routes in the local Pennsylvania German community. This exhibition will celebrate these connection in conjunction with the college’s 150th anniversary and the opening of the new center for Pennsylvania German Studies in Trappe.

Periodic Table of Elements Celebration and Reception

In 1869, Dmitri Mendeleev discovered the Period System, and with its 150th anniversary the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has designated 2019 the “International Year of the Periodic Table.” Join faculty, staff and students from the Chemistry Department as we collectively celebrate this milestone and formally dedicate our very own Period Table, now installed in the South Courtyard of the IDC. Refreshments and light fare will be served.
