Go Bears!

Ursinus athletics and academics don’t just go hand-in-hand, they fit together more tightly, like a giant bear hug. Ursinus has 25 varsity sports, and a third of the student body participates on these teams.

Ursinus doesn’t just have a lot of student athletes, we have a lot of quality student athletes.

The field hockey team won its 11th Centennial Conference title in the last 12 years and advanced all the way to the Division III Final Four this past fall, with three of its student-athletes earning All-American status. The women’s swimming team completed its third straight undefeated season and captured its third consecutive Centennial Conference championship, while women’s soccer reached the conference semifinals for the first time since 2010.

In addition to varsity sports, there are club sports, including fencing, martial arts, rugby and table tennis; and intramural sports such as ultimate Frisbee, basketball, and flag football. Taken altogether, 85 percent of students participate in some kind of athletic activity.
