Main Stage

Without an opportunity to perform on stage in front of audiences this fall, Ursinus College theater and dance artists are bringing radio plays and dance concerts to life virtually. All performances and behind-the-scenes content will be available for viewing here.

Mark your calendars for live productions brought to you by the College’s theater and dance department.

Opening This Week:

Angela Carter’s The Company of Wolves & Puss in Boots
Two Radio Plays

Directed by Associate Professor of Theater Meghan Brodie

Sound design by Visiting Assistant Professor of Theater & Dance Shannon Zura

A live stream will be available here in real time for each scheduled performance:

Thursday, October 29: 7:30 p.m.

Friday, October 30: 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, October 31: 7:30 p.m.

Sunday, November 1: 2:00 p.m.

The Company of Wolves, an adaptation of the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale, is a dark and twisted horror story of unexpected transformations. A sex comedy for adult audiences, Puss in Boots is a gleeful celebration of the adventures of this legendary talking cat. Both radio plays are from the unparalleled imagination of Angela Carter, named by The Times as one of the best postwar British writers.

Note: These radio plays contain mature content.

Sound of the Stage: Foley, Technology and Theater

Ever wonder about the art of foley and how sound effects are captured on stage? Join professor Meghan Brodie and visiting assistant professor Shannon Zura for a behind-the-scenes look at our two radio plays, Puss in Boots and The Company of Wolves, which will be live-streamed right here on October 29-31 and November 1.
