Institute for Inclusion and Equity

Martin Luther King Jr. Week

A Week of Learning, Inquiry, and Celebration. January 17-22

In January 2017, we will begin the spring semester with three days of celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement. Around the campus, we will prominently display the words of great African American artists, thinkers, writers, activists, performers, and others from the nineteenth century to the present; all quotes were suggested by members of the community. A number of events have been planned to inaugurate the Institute for Inclusion and Equity, newly centrally located in Lower Wismer. Activities will include a series of lightning talks; film screenings; discussion; and plans for the future; please check back for updates as we add to this calendar. We hope you will join us in our efforts to honor Dr. King, the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement, and the future of inclusion and equity at Ursinus.
