Institute for Inclusion and Equity
A comprehensive training hosted by the Mazzoni Center on LGBTQ+ issues and being supportive of LGBTQ+ students. The goal of the training is to have faculty be aware of LGBTQ+ student’s needs and be able to have knowledge of and be considerate of LGBTQ terminology, language, and identities from students. Faculty will also be taught to differentiate between the categories of sex, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation, in the hopes of ensuring a safe and accepting environment for students on campus. It helps LGBTQ+ students to know who they can rely on, and having knowledge on these topics and issues will assist you in being a supportive part of a student’s Ursinus experience.
