Concocting Whiteness in Nineteenth-Century Argentina

How did Argentina come to be known as a “white” nation unlike any other in Latin America? This talk examines some key cultural manifestations of the late nineteenth century to understand the processes by which Argentina concocted whiteness out of racial diversity.
