An award-winning journalist, Claudia Kolker is the editor of Rice Business Wisdom, the ideas magazine at Rice Business School. A former Los Angeles Times bureau chief and former member of The Houston Chronicle editorial board, she has reported from Mexico, El Salvador, the Caribbean, Japan and India. She has also written for The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, The Economist, O: The Oprah Magazine, Slate, and Salon, and is the author of The Immigrant Advantage (2013). She lives in Houston with her family.
