Attend to learn about:
Harold C. Smith Program in Christian Studies
Harold C. Smith Foundation Award provides significant opportunity for students to engage in vocational and faith discernment through experiential learning.
The Harold C. Smith Endowment for Christian Studies, Service, and Student Scholarships provides financial support for students who are able to secure unpaid internships with non-profits, service organizations, and community groups.
This fund encourages opportunities for Ursinus students who could not otherwise afford the experience by providing supplemental support for internships or significant volunteer activities, particularly when such experiences are unpaid or incur significant expense. Awards from the fund are intended to provide a range of experiential learning opportunities for students. Examples may include:
- A volunteer leadership or service learning experience
- A non-paying internship position
- A paid internship in a location that is far from home, such that support would help to underwrite a student’s transportation and/or living expense
- An off-campus research assignment, especially if unpaid or of significant expense.
