Join artist and Ursinus studio art instructor Sarah Pater for a drawing class on August 30 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the Berman’s galleries. Open to adult participants of all levels, this class will highlight objects from the museum’s permanent collection while teaching essentials of still life drawing that will expand your range of creative expression.
Materials will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.
About the instructor: Sarah Pater received her MFA in painting from Rhode Island School of Design and her BFA in painting and printmaking from Boston University. Her work has been exhibited at Lighthouse Works, Fishers Island; Spite Haus, Philadelphia; Pulp, Holyoke MA; Peep Projects, Philadelphia; Ortega y Gasset, Brooklyn; Taymour Grahne Projects Notting Hill, London; FJORD, Philadelphia, and elsewhere. She has taught at Rhode Island School of Design, Tyler School of Art (Temple University), and the University of the Arts. Her research interests include the history of image making, American minimalism, and the aesthetics of everyday social spaces.
