Drawing from the Collection

Laid-back drawing class at the Berman Museum.

Details

The Berman Museum is hosting the second event in its Drawing from the Collection series on December 6 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Sarah Pater will return to lead participants through warm-up exercises and a still-life drawing workshop. Open to adult participants of all levels. Materials will be provided.

Sarah Pater is a painter based in Philadelphia. Her work blurs the aesthetics of boredom and attention with office-leisure-domestic design, daily experiences, and painting conventions. Her paintings have been included in recent exhibitions at the Lighthouse Works (Fishers Island, NY); Peep Projects (Philadelphia); Ortega y Gasset (New York); Pulp (Holyoke, MA); and Taymour Grahne Projects (London). Her work has been featured in New American Paintings and Bat City Review, and she has been awarded residencies at the Lighthouse Works, the Elizabeth Murray Artist Residency, the Sam & Adele Golden Foundation, and the Ora Lerman Charitable Trust. She received an M.F.A. in painting from Rhode Island School of Design and a B.F.A. from Boston University.

Free and open to the public.
