Helping to Inspire Positive and Healthy Opportunities for Progress (HIP-HOP) Inc. is committed to leveraging the human capital of the Hip Hop Generation, community-based organizations, churches, schools and communities to aggressively address the high school dropout crisis that is impacting urban school districts, their students and families.
In working to address the high school dropout crisis, HIP HOP Inc. is committed to the following:
1. Developing and implementing quality, research based out of school time programs, designed to reduce the risk factors associated with dropping out of high school in high concentration of poverty, urban communities.
2. Supporting low income youth and their families with intellectual disabilities that reside in high concentration of poverty, urban communities.
3. Working to reduce incidents of violence and bullying among youth that reside in high concentration of poverty, urban communities.
Call for Volunteers
As a volunteer, your commitment will assist HIP HOP Inc in fighting the high school dropout crisis. Your commitment will assist youth in developing the skills, the passion and the commitment for post-secondary success.
The overarching goal of the HIP HOP Service Corps is to utilize the human capital of area college students to increase the academic performance of area youth, to establish mentoring relationships between area youth and local college students and to make the concept of college attendance a reality by exposing low income youth to local college students.
