How Safe is the Food System?
The Center for Science and the Common Good holds a major conference, “Safeguarding the American Food Supply.” The conference links scientifically credible information with the creation of public policies. Participant Aubrey Paris ’15, who was also a Fellow at ISGP, says, “Our students got to see how science directly impacts society. The other great strength was that we’re taking students in the undergraduate sphere and putting them at a table next to people who are leaders in industry or in policy…it’s really empowering for the students. It gives them a great deal of confidence.”
