Local restaurants will be offering dinner specials to anyone attending the Ursinus Theater and Dance department’s performance of All in the Timing in the Blackbox Studio Theater in the Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Center Oct. 29, 30 and 31 at 7:30 p.m., and Nov. 1 at 2 p.m.
This collection of one-act plays, comedies and comedy-dramas by David Ives focuses on language and wordplay, existentialist perspectives on life and meaning, and the complications involved in romantic relationships. It is directed by Neil Hartley, Philadelphia actor, director and educator, known for his roles in “The Sixth Sense” and “House of Cards.”
Theatergoers can choose from among 15 local restaurants for dinner the evening of the performance and enjoy 10 percent off their bill or a free appetizer. The listing of the restaurants and their specials are on the CEDC website, www.collegevilledevelopment.org. Theatergoers who would like to take advantage of the “Dinner and a Show” specials should order tickets from the same CEDC website.
Tickets are $5 each, or $2 for students and seniors age 65 and over. Individuals can reserve their tickets online through the site, and they will be issued a receipt which they should show at the restaurant on the day of the performance to get the dinner special. They will also need the receipt to give to the Ursinus Box Office in order to pay for and pick up their tickets. Theatergoers should arrive at the box office at least 15 minutes before the show begins.
The theater is located within the college’s Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Center. Those attending the play should park in the college’s West parking lot; enter from Ninth Ave.
