The Pentagon Fire Marshall visits HEP Class
On March 21, 2017, Dr. Feairheller’s cardiovascular physiology class had an opportunity to view a personal case study presented by William J. Fries ’76, Deputy Director, SCD & Pentagon Fire Marshal. The presentation covered stress issues related to cardiovascular health and the Deputy Director took an opportunity to share his personal knowledge of the subject material. As an Ursinus alum he takes pride in the fact that during his years at UC he was involved with the Collegeville Fire Department volunteer effort via the Bear Squad 1972-1976. In his role at the Pentagon, William Fries oversees fire protection and safety for the Pentagon and all affiliated agencies which includes over 28,000 civilian and military personnel. It was a great class with in-depth discussions! - by Christine Angermeier
